Is it possible to tow a 1998 Jeep Cherokee using a 2001 Ford F-150? If so how would you do it?

Some friends and I are driving to New york to start a new life, but we want to take 2 vehicles so we are not constricted. We are driving from Southeast Texas to Upstate New York on Friday, Jan. 2nd.
