How will my '02 4-cyl 2WD 5 speed manual Nissan Xterra do offroad?

I know a 5 speed will be good for offroading but I just got this car and I don't wanna take it out if I'm not completely sure of it's capabilities. Will a 2wd be okay going up and down hills, over rocks, and through mud, and ice and all that jazz? Thanks so much!
