Are strip lashes the same as normal false lashes?

I've never heard them called "strip" lashes before, but there are lashes that you can apply individually or in groups of about 3 or 4 (for occasions where you want to just dramatize a certain part of your eye). Then there are the lashes where you apply a whole eye's worth at once. Whereever you're hearing about strip lashes is probably referring to those ones.
